I still follow a bunch of car sale groups on Facebook from when I was looking for a second beater for me to drive while my wife drove Meepster. I noticed something:
If someone uses “daily,” e.g. good cheap car to daily, or would make a good daily, as a verb or noun in their car ad, I won’t even consider it. It just makes me think the car was owned by a kid with bad taste who abused it, added questionable mods, or both. See photo:

Yeah the term “daily driver” only exists in the enthusiast community, and mostly used by stance guys.
Normal people call a car you can drive every day, a car.

This is true. Most people don’t understand why I have two BMWs.

With mods like that, I don’t think this qualifies as having “0 mechanical problems”.

Any car that’s been stanced should be a non-starter as it’s so easy to do it wrong.

It’s because you are a masochist.

No that’s no longer a daily, that’s a wannabe. They turn a what we call a daily in to a piece of shit car.
